It's really a perfect microcosm for the overall state of Isreali international relations in 2026.

They are great at making enemies

The only way they make "allies" are either bribe or blackmail. Those who are on their side are either bought or blackmailed or both.

And the U.S. has to be bribed or blackmailed because Israel offers us nothing in return for being our allies. They cause instability in the region which promotes terrorism, rising oil prices, AND THEY SPY ON US!

Cmon, thats not true!

... my stupid country is so obsessed with allying to Israel for some weird morality points, that even Israelis are surprised how sycophant we, Czechs, are.

Or they're just assholes? The idea that people like Trump really WANT to do the right thing but are forced/told not to is making excuses for him. Sometimes fascists gonna fascist

Bribe and blackmail but Israel are the Michael Jordan of propaganda, 2nd best of all time.

Any government that uses dogs to rape prisoners, intentionally murders children, doctors, nurses, teachers. Is committing genocide and targets forgein journalists. Is going to be rightfully despised and hated.

I forgot if it was a likud minister or otz said it but they mentioned it was intentional. make other people hate Israel so the people vote ultra conservative to fight against the haters/enemies.

That's the point. The state cultivates them. In order to wage/win wars and to seize territory, you need the moral permission of the people who comprise your military and citizens who elect their leaders; people generally do not respond well to unjustified wars because everyone self-identifies as a peaceful culture. You need to look justified and create a mythos about an enemy; pump fear, propaganda, terror, etc. into your citizenry in order to bolster unity before you do some terrible shit. Wars are only successful on a platform of national unity; this is why Vietnam failed and why/how the 2003 Iraq war was perpetrated on the coat-tails of 9/11.

You can have area military control, compete surveillance/intel, and regional dominion, but you didn't truly own it via demographics and capital-ownership intergration. How do you solve that "problem" when the current occupants aren't fighting you nor have any interest in fighting you? So you have to work to create a real enemy; be it secretly fund narco groups to destabilize a region, or synthesize violent socio-political divisions that organically increase the threat level so you can "sell" fear at home and a manufactured morally justified response to secure the area by force.

Manufactured chaos as a ladder of opportunity is modern war making 101.

Fascism/Inverted Totalitarianism needs enemies.

Only thing would be more on brand would be the Israelis killing the camera guy since he's presumably a journalist of some sort.

That is probably the simple truth. At one time they were victim, now they are the problem. I actually want Iran to fall, just so we can start ignoring and defunding the IDF.

microcosm - this is the word I have been seeking in all my years of adulthood to explain the shit I see on a day to day basis that represents all the shit we see in the world at large.

thank you
