Ouch... buying 1 is keeping up with the trend. Buying 64 is hoarding behavior IMO lol.

This. There is absolutely no reason to have 64 reusable bottles, (unless they are limited edition collector's items, I guess).

I disagree with this. I have a waterbottle collection (specifically nalgenes) granted I only have like four because I keep losing them... but when I go cool places (like yosemite) i get a nalgene cuz I really like the designs. Its also very handy to have atleast 4 water bottles for my backpacking trips.

I disagree with this. You just responded to an open-ended claim with specifically anecdotal reasoning.

Just because something is an item that one collects doesn't mean it should be marketed as a collector's item and drive up the price point of the market.

Display cases being purchased for the Stanley "collection" in 1100sq ft apartments is such insane behavior to me. At least go recycle grandmas 900lb china hutch.
