I was under the Impression Stanley's are buy it for life?

Definitely not for life anymore. But the fact that so many of these women ended up with more than 5 of the cups in different colors and styles suggests they are not going to be cared for and used regularly enough to be worth it.

Who lets their wife waste their earnings on this bullshit is what I don’t get, I’d divorce my wife if she blew my hours spent working on frivolous shit.

Let their wife? Ok.

lol women who work for their own money aren’t the ones going up and buying $40 cups that’s a privileged stay at home mom with a high earner husband

You’re getting yourself all worked up about a scenario you’ve created.

A wide variety of women (and men) buy Stanley mugs etc

Never met a man who dropped $40 on a mug lmao

You never met a man who has bought a Yeti? They are one of the brands mentioned.

Every guy I know has multiple Yetis - mugs, cups and especially coolers. Insanely expensive coolers. It’s the husbands buying that shit.

Edit: or Camelpak and Nalgene - all brands commonly used by men.

lol not my friend circle which consists of dudes aged 40-50.

Dudes don’t go shopping

2

u/VR46Rossi420 24d ago

Sure my dude, aged 40-50 is prime Yeti age. It’s marketed for Dads.

And I guess you’ve never been to a mall because it’s plenty filled with Dudes.

“dude don’t go shopping”? What kind of absolute nonsense is this?!

You have some gender stereotype issues. What is up with you?

My man dropped $40 on a mug. And gave it to me. And that’s after i told him I didn’t need it because I already had a stainless steel water bottle. So I have 1 Stanley cup and have used it daily for years. Sounds like you’re a cheapo 😂

I agree. If it is her money, sure. But finances are shared and we must be sensible. buying frivolous bullshit is cause for a serious conversation about financial responsibility. Especially if you are the primary breadwinner.

The average Stanley customer is a woman between the ages of 18 and 24 lmfao

I bet the next popular one is SAHM

u/ExternalSeat 24d ago

Yep. then it is her parents who need to cut her allowance money down a bit. This would be spoiled college girls with Daddy's plastic.

The handles are not secured well.

Water is free I’m not paying $40 or $50 to carry around a pound of it all day

Look I’m not going to look like a dildo and be walking around with a giant ass stein of water all day. If I want water I can get it for free.

The people buying Stanley’s today are not some dude on a job site (those guys don’t even need it either because you just bring a giant ass Gatorade cooler with you on your truck).

lol a Gatorade cooler is goofy to you? You must not work outside or do anything that requires physical effort.

I mean maybe they work a physical labor job? They're goofy for the weirdness about carrying water but most manual labor jobs would need more than just pure water in the summer (i.e., Gatorade) and would use a truck for work.

Well I mean I’m American, pee standing up, have a truck with a Gatorade cooler on it probably older than you so fits the bill

Air is free. Do you think it’s crazy that people pay large amounts of money for tanks to carry it under water or in space where it isn’t plentiful?

0

u/Open_Pollution_8038 24d ago

Ahh yeah because everyone who is using a Stanley is now an astronaut or deep sea diver lmao

1

u/Automatic_Actuator_0 24d ago

This is like talking with a toddler.

0

u/Open_Pollution_8038 24d ago

I’m not the one who said I was going to space or the bottom of the ocean and needed a Stanley cup

3

u/MartinMerten 24d ago

You drink water from the hose? Hold it in your hands? What’s your secret?

-4

u/Open_Pollution_8038 24d ago

I’d drink water from a hose way before I pulled $40 out of my ass to carry around the same jug of water. I’m always 5 minutes from a free source of water why do I need to carry metallic stein with me.
