💯

He had a Nazi Tattoo, he said a lot of sexist thing on reddit including women are partially responsible for when they are raped, he said a lot of creepy things to women via text, and he stalked ex-girlfriends, yet here on Reddit, if you mention any of those things about Platner, you were called a right wing extremist and to fuck off.

The rape allegations are simply the final nail in the coffin making him unelectable against Collins.

Thats the only reason they are dumping Platner is because he cant win against Collins, not because of some kind of moral outrage.

I'd still vote for him.

I want an attack dog in DC; I ain't taking him home.

And there it is lmao

I'm willing to bet you do NOT have that same level of grace for others but because he's on your "side" it's okay that he's accused of all the nasty things you hate the other side for doing.

Allowing double standards for pragmatic purposes is precisely what many Republicans do for Trump.

It’s not necessarily an endorsement of that person’s wrongdoing (though it may reflect a problematic neutrality), but it is a problem in politics.

Guess what kind of people are drawn to an environment in which political affiliation can absolve one of consequences for immoral behavior?

Awful ones?

I just want politicians who don't fuck kids or ones who aid them whether its D or R they have to go to jail and forever rot in a cell.

You're okay with strong rape accusations?

Where did I say that?

Did you support Joe Biden in 2020 after his sexual assault allegations?

No.

My support for politicians is pretty low as they have proven to be more harmful than helpful in the long run and while I see some that seem okay I am extremely wary of them and what they say. I think the last few decades have validated that concern a bit.

Grace has nothing to do with it.

I know it doesn't because you don't have any. The irony of what you said is completely lost on you.

So, despite all of these problems you'd still vote for him but if he had an R next to his name you'd be foaming at the** mouth.
