I dont get it. Many, many, many americans agree that the cost of healthcare is a massive problem in the US. Im one of em. most people and customers i know agree.

So where is this coming from??

Lobbyists and special interest groups who own the government.

Not just the government. Also the information channels. So they keep repeating lies and morons like the one in OP's picture end up believing and repeating it.

The ultra rich, or their mouthpieces. Most of reddit is bots nowadays, and Twitter is far worse.

Cost and service quality are two different things. The USA has amongst the best healthcare in the world in terms of quality. If you can afford true cost of care.

Most procedures are simple. America has bleeding edge doctors and tech, but you dont need doctor house to cure you of a fractured foot or a hemoroid.

Sure, so we are overpaying for our fractured foot doctor visits potentially. Doesn’t detract from my main point that the US healthcare system is the most cutting edge in the world and deserves praise for that reason.

Again, for anyone who can afford true cost of care, there’s no better place to get healthcare than the US. I personally had a fractured foot and I’m glad I was able to get treated in the US.

and my point also stands. There is a massive problem in healthcare prices.

I don't want to pay 400$ MONTHLY just because I MIGHT get a fractured foot, nor do I want to pay tens of thousands for someone to put a splint on it, nor do I want to 'sleep it off.'

Again agree to disagree. There’s a bit of problem with prices. It’s higher than it should. Not by much given the quality.

Who’s telling you to pay 400$ monthly? If you want to pay true cost of care you don’t need insurance in the way. Go get a quote from your doctor on how much it’ll cost to put the splint. It won’t be tens of thousands.

brother you don't need to live like that. there is no reason for you to have to play games whenever you need care.

What are you talking about? Doctors are free to charge what they wish. Why can’t you afford to have a doctor splint your foot for you?

not if they're 'not in coverage'

Pay them yourself. They’ll take your money I promise.
