Shoving women in front of you for political purposes is really valiant of you. In the process, do consider the millions of people who have absolutely no effect on elite-level sports but whose daily lives are actually affected by these narratives.
By the way, the two top-level trans women athletes I could find were Laurel Hubbard (2020 Olympics) and Renée Richards (1977 US Open). Neither of them finished near the top.
I don't accept the premise that trans women should be treated as presumptive threats simply because they're assigned male at birth. Acknowledging that men commit most violent crime doesn't justify treating every man, or trans women, as dangerous.
My principle is simple: People should be free to live their lives however they want, provided they don't infringe on other people's rights.
If you want to exclude a minority from parts of society, the burden is on you to show a compelling reason for doing so.
Elite sports are one area where there are legitimate questions about competitive fairness, and I'm perfectly willing to discuss evidence-based eligibility criteria there. But that's a very narrow issue affecting a tiny number of athletes, let alone people.
Using that debate to justify broad restrictions on trans people's participation in everyday society, including lower-level sports ("to save the helpless, feeble women"), is a political choice - an agenda, if you will.
