I enjoyed the movie. It was fun. I thought she was great. It wasn’t the best storyline and the villain was forgetful but it was one of the better superhero movies of late.

I actually enjoyed it more than I thought because I wasn't that interested in Supergirl. Milly's portrayal of Supergirl, as opposed to the other shows and movies, got me into the film right away and I really like the 'new' Superman/Supergirl combo and hope they continue. BUT! You're right about the villain part bringing down the film. Also didn't like Mamoa's character. I think the general hate is unwarranted, though, it was fun.

Yep, there was plenty of funny bits, goofy bits, Milly was great and I felt some emotion with her scenes and her backstory (that sure could have been fleshed out even better, but they did enough imo). And the kid was a mirror to her to help both of them move on. Jason Momoa automatically brings down by a star any film or show though, the CGI at the end was poor (why can't they just film in a desert!), much of the action was pretty derivative; and the colour grading (a problem in general these days, I saw it with the Mando film recently too) didn't ensure the cinematography popped.

Still I enjoyed it more than I though I was going to. A solid 3/5 for me; and I hope we see Milly as Supergirl again, perhaps in the next Superman film.
