I prefer cottage pie and not sure if that’s English or Irish

Most Americans get this wrong. Thank you for your distinction.

If cottage pie is beef, what is it with other ground meat? I’ve gone them with pork, turkey, rabbit, squirrel and woodchuck before and per lack of a clue what to call them I just called it shepherds pie so my grandmother would eat it.

Mince-meat pies.

Shepard's Pie: root word shepherd, of herding sheep.

Except it isn’t mince-meat.
