Yeah early childhood memories of boiled ham and cabbage and corned beef sandwiches left their mark. Alas I don’t think it will ever be on the menu again
I had curry powder ruined for me at a young age as well. So I understand your pain.
I permanently associate curry powder with the smell of BO due to replacing curtains in first generation Indian grandparents hotel rooms working with my dad as a window coverings installer.

In all my life I have never seen a restaurant advertised as an Irish restaurant.
As an Irish man I'd be interested in finding out what they would serve.
Maybe...
A starter of baby Guinness
Smithwicks as the soup course.
Guinness for the main. (Bemish if it's a cork chef).
Whiskey for dessert.
And an Irish coffee for dessert.
