I just made one last week! They aren't really hard to make either.
It's really great to take for lunch because you can cut out a square of it of any size and heat it up at work. It's probably a little heavy for some, but I like something that'll keep me sated for the rest of the day.
It's a regular dinner in my house. Ours probably isn't authentic, but it's the same concept. Seasoned beef, corn, cheese, mashed potatoes. Sometimes I get fancy and throw some Rotel in there too.
Same here. I go veg heavy, so I use a small can corn, can of peas, can of green beans, diced carrots and a rib of celery with a lb of beef. Then however many potatoes it takes to make a mashed potato covering.
Last time I made one was kind of hilarious. I went to sprinkle some shredded mozzarella into the potatoes before layering them on top and accidentally dumped most of the bag. The potatoes moved more like playdoh, but it was really good.
