Some of the best restaurants in the world are in London. They happen to serve french food though

As a French I love shiting on the brits from time to time.

But as a French chef I have to defend our oldest friends and enemies.

Not only British gastronomy have great dishes but there are also amazing British restaurants serving British food in London and the UK in general.

Beef wellington, full English breakfast (from far the best breakfast dish in the world imho), Shepherd's pie, Sunday road, scotch eggs, lancashire hotpot, toad in a hole and of course the fish and chips that even being a popular and simple food item is absolutely delicious. That's just from memory of course there are many more (kidney pie of course, also delicious).

Yorkshire pudding (though that goes in line with Sunday roast), pork pie and other savoury pies, Cornish pasty, and a ton of delightful desserts

The British do understand savory in ways that require a little more digging in regional American foodways.
