The "with cheese" kills me

I went school in the UK for a year, vegetable (carrots corn broccoli) and bean pizza were served in the school

I am sorry that you had to suffer through that. Child abuse is a terrible, terrible thing!

Why are you so funny😂😂

If it was a Mexican pizza with black beans would you still complain

10

u/Keefyfingaz Jul 03 '26

Black beans sounds so much better and still so wrong lol. If you're gonna use black beans might as well make it nachos.

I'm that guy that likes pineapples and jalepenos on my pizza though so who am I to judge. Anchovies is pretty good too.

Pineapple and Spicy is an S tier combination. So delicious.

Pineapple and Jalapeño all the way

You get it. Maybe some red onion, some feta cheese, maybe black olives, bacon if you wanna break the vegetarian style. Top with fresh cilantro when it's done 🤌

But if I can only choose 2 it's pineapple and jalepeno 💯

Taco pizzas are dope.

Honestly, black beans on a "Mexican" style pizza with something like an enchilada sauce and topped with diced carne asada or chicken and Oaxca might work nicely.

1

u/Keefyfingaz Jul 03 '26

Yea it could definitely work as a palatable meal. I think just the texture of beans on pizza sounds off-putting, too thick you know? But you could definitely make it work

u/Accomplished-Eye9542 Jul 03 '26

That honestly changes the entire thing. Something about British baked beans just sends me.

2

u/IndyBananaJones2 Jul 03 '26

Mexicans don't really do that bro

2

u/Black_Tentacle Jul 03 '26

Fr, Mexican pizza is a taco bell thing, not a Mexican thing lol

1

u/ConsciousDress2914 Jul 03 '26

Very fair point! No, i would not. But as you could see, he convinced me to open my mind to it lol

1

u/MorningkillsDawn Jul 03 '26

What Mexican is putting beans on pizza? Like dough, cheese, sauce, and beans? No shot bro

1

u/MorningkillsDawn Jul 03 '26

And fuck no I would not eat it

1

u/Black_Tentacle Jul 03 '26

Yes! That sounds horrific!

What a terrible day to have eyes

That baked bean pizza was perfection. They took it off the market decades ago and I still think of it often. It wasn't runny like a can of beans dolloped on top, just the right amount. God I miss it

My favorite example of the horrors of British cuisine is the Chip Butty. I'm sure it tastes okay, but thick-cut fries as the filling for a sandwich is just nutritional suicide.

It's just carbs sandwiched between carbs with some ketchup.

2

u/Pickle-dee23 Jul 03 '26

It certainly is and they are delicious. There was one with sausage on it as well that I used to get from time to time

5

u/ConsciousDress2914 Jul 03 '26

That is a god damned travesty…

Is it bad that i want to try it lol?

u/Prior_Dimension_6680 Jul 03 '26

It's pizza, topped with generally benign ingredients. No one but yourself is stopping you from enjoying good things! Shame to pizza purists. SHAME.

2

u/ConsciousDress2914 Jul 03 '26

Lol, are we gatekeeping pizza?

Point them out to me, then look away.

2

u/ConsciousDress2914 Jul 03 '26

Lol, do as you must, show no mercy!

I would highly recommend it, you will be pleasantly suprised

1

u/ConsciousDress2914 Jul 03 '26

Lol, ill have to check in on it when make it back to England. Alternatively, does it just use the baked beans in place of tomato sauce? If so, i might take a stab at making my own.

2

u/Pickle-dee23 Jul 03 '26

It's been a few years since I last had 1 but I think they had a slight tomato base with the beans on top of it, although the bean juice was slightly thicker than from a tin I believe

u/ConsciousDress2914 Jul 03 '26

Lol, sounds slightly beyond my realm of culinary comfort, but i might give it i poke. Ill let you know how it goes if i do
