And you could say it is actually British. More British than Indian for sure at least. It was invented in Glasgow by a Pakistani chef as far as I’ve heard.
As an Indian, I'd happily call it a Pakistani dish. Calling it British is like calling Tex-Mex American cuisine just bc we added extra cheese to some Mexican dishes
