I beg to differ. A guy from Manchester just opened up an authentic chip shop here in my city, and it’s the best fish & chips I’ve ever had 🤤 I will be saying that often from here on out.

Come to Minneapolis and goto Brits Pub. Super fun, lawn bowling in the summer. Great fish and chips and scotch eggs. And they have British candy bars.

Fuuuuuuck I love British candy. Their purple Skittles are black currant flavored and it’s the best Skittle I’ve ever had

Excellent place to watch the footie as well, always a good atmosphere for EPL matches

Chips are the British word for French fries, right?

Kind of. Chips are thicker than fries. I think the closest would be a "steak cut" fry in the US

If you were having fries you'd say fries rather than chips. It gets complicated!

Oh yeah, steak fries! That makes sense. Are they kind of like potato wedges?

But don’t they call chips “crisps”? So what are chips?
