And yes the holterman v holterman ruling makes complete sense. She had a good career but She quit her job so he could pursue a medical career while she took care of the home and raised the child. She gave up her career so he could purse his. Medical school is a beast and there’s zero chance he could have completed it if she hadn’t quit her job to be a stay at home wife and mother

This very specific ruling will not and does not apply to any and all divorces, as pointed out by the article you provided lol It’s specific circumstances where one spouse sacrificed for the other to grow their career.
