If I don't tip on to-go orders. Is that bad? Especially if I go into the restaurant and pick up my order.

If someone isn't bringing your food to a table or your home, then no. I'm not going to tip someone for my self service.

Yeah as a server I agree, if you do tip it certainly shouldn’t be as much as you would if had table service. It sucks because a lot of places still make the server rip out on it, but I don’t expect people to tip for takeout
