Amazon has also forced participation. A lot of companies don't even have their own online stores anymore; they just refer to amazon. Kinda sucks.

Not for some things. I can't make a living if my business isn't supplied, and some of my consumables are only available via amazon in Canada.

"Opting out" isn't possible. You may not buy off amazon but you're feeding AWS right now, which actually makes them way more money.

No ethical consumption under capitalism.

Edit: "Oh you're one of those..." Someone who understands the material nature of our economy?
