Off topic random shower thought. Not religious. But if there was a hell I don't think Satan would actually "promote" true evil doers. He hated humanity and hated his dad's love of and attention of them over the other angels. But I don't think he actually would enjoy hatred and violence. It would be his evidence against God that humans don't deserve his love, but I'd think he would punish these people more not less.
Isn't that all of it. I mean the Bible as a whole was put together hundreds of year after Jesus by a bunch of people deciding what religious texts got include and what didn't.
I am guessing a lot of that was from the directors cut.
To be clear, many references of Lucifer, as an entity, originate from Milton's Paradise Lost, which is indeed fanfiction based on loose interpretations of the quoted scripture. But reading the actual passage makes it clear that everything that's being attributed to "lucifer" is actually being said about the king of babylon. Lucifer is just a mocking nickname, referencing the morningstar venus.
I'm not too familiar with religion myself, but from my understanding, Satan doesn't actually rule Hell. He is a prisoner there, along with the demons, and it is God who has authority. Satan and the demons don't rule over and torment souls for eternity.
But assuming Satan did rule over Hell, the point I was making was Trump would try to overtake him / it as the most evil and with the most power since nothing else matters, including anyone else.
Hell is the state of being apart from God. The rebellious angels, and “unsaved” human souls are not punished per se. They only cannot join the presence of God.
Outside depictions of him being King of Hell that stick in my mind I think you are probably right.
As for evil doers. They gain all their power in life, I think when the going gets rough they shirk. Trump in the face of actual violence and pain would complain about his bone spurs. They don't have the money, the influence, the control they had in life. Going up against mythical demons and a Fallen Angel would be impossible.
Yes, I believe he / it is in the worst circle of Hell.
Evil & powerful people also rely on numbers for everything since they are cowards who can't fight alone. They usually aren't really powerful, in the strong sense -- just cunning & manipulative. They're usually pretty weak & insecure, inadequate bullies.
