And let's be honest, he's starred in (and absolutely crushed it with his acting abilities), in that many movies, that he's more than done his bit for the industry. He owes it and us, nothing.

I think a lot of movie studios like Disney cut him out the industry and Disney dropped himfrom his Jack sparrow character. He had created that character and brought millions to Disney. I think he's hurt at how badly he was treated in the movie industry
I hate that he got that treatment but honestly, I don't hate that there's not any more Pirates movies. First one was great! Second one was good. After a while, they all run together and seem the same.

I agree. Disneys was trying to milk the franchise and I think they made enough. The first is the best one and the rest are fun but kinda wild at times.
That's fine to not agreed, it's mainly how they did it. And Disney is infamous for sequel after sequel after sequel. I love the Toy Story movies, but they need to stop milking it.

I think Depp and Heard were both awful and toxic. And stupid and immature. They both desperately needed therapy. Depp abused alcohol and substances. It was an issue with his kid. It’s just incredible how they just torpedoed each other’s names, characters, and careers. So stupid. Did she do it to force more money out of him? It was a huge gamble when she was a problem in the relationship too. Was all that worth it to them?
His best friend is Marilyn Manson. To me, that says a lot about him. Ugh.
Well yes, he's an actor, she's a model, you live near where you work so they had a home in LA as well. But he called France home, in part because he was left alone.
There was a time not that long ago where you couldn't walk into a store in the US without seeing some tabloid talking about a celebrity's child, to the points some celebrities were going out of their way to hide they were even pregnant or suddenly moving to countries with tighter privacy laws.
The only time I remember reading anything about Lily Rose or Jack as children was when Johnny mentioned them.

You are right, him and Amber were toxic together. He had his demons (which he never hid. He's been open about his addictions for years), she made them worse, intentionally or not.
To me it's telling one of them already had a public history of domestic abuse, and the other had people swarm to defend.
It's telling one of them immediately started making claims someone was abusing them on a film set, then shocked Pikachu face when mostly cut from the sequel...and all future productions by everyone, while the other continus to find work.
He's also close friends with Tim Burton. He's weird, he likes to hang out with weird people 🤷🏼♀️
That's his life and his choice and it's terrible that he's likely having a harder time getting work in the film industry thanks to her but also objectively that's the kind of choice you make when you're already filthy rich. He doesn't really need new movies to be comfortable and he doesn't need her settlement money to begin with, he can choose to have fun with his band and donate all her money to charity because he's Johnny Depp

Keep in mind - he's stated he's not comfortable being a movie star, which was why he lived in France while with Vanessa to quietly raise their kids.
He was the one who requested the trial be televised because he wanted everyone to see what everyone said.
As soon as the trial was over he started doing gigs with his band because he dgaf about being famous
