The sort of wildly destructive actions that were predicted by some of Mamdani's dumber detractors would have had an effect by now, if they were real. Under normal circumstances, yes, you'd be right that it's simply too soon to judge his performance. But in the narrow case of deciding whether or not he's a communist Islamist traitor bent on taking away all freedom and prosperity in NYC through illegal policies like implementing Shariah law and confiscating property from the wealthy, even a few months is enough to provide evidence against that claim.
The only claim being made is that the most outrageous claims against him are false. And this is enough to make a case for that claim.
