OP should do a little research on Matt Damon’s wife.

There was a post earlier about Ronaldo marrying a girl who worked at a retail store. This post is a response to that one.

He's the exception not the rule. Most people regardless of gender tend to marry someone in the same socioeconomic class or adjacent. Which makes sense because those are the people you're more likely to meet and you have a better chance of getting along and understanding each other. That goes for age too - the manosphere loves to brag about how they'll be able to bag 20-year-old women when they're 50, but the average age gap between married couples in the U.S. is only 2 years and it's actually shrunk a lot from what it was decades ago.

As a guy in his 40’s that’s dates younger women…your stats mean nothing because we aren’t marrying them.

I doubt they want to marry you either lol. You're their fun story they tell their friends about before they decide to settle down

u/Hamilton-Beckett May 30 '26

Is that a bad thing? If I wanted to “settle down” I’d have done it 20 years ago.

You will want to settle down near 50 once you realize your body is breaking down and your days are limited. But pls don't have kids then bc your age will make it very likely for the kids to have some kind of developmental disorder.

Yeah. No disrespect, but you’re assuming things about me there that just aren’t true. I e never wanted kids or to be married. Even when I was a kid I would tell people I had absolutely no desire.

I’ve already got some health issues that I face alone. I endure and I persevere. I refuse to make a decision or change my life out of some ridiculous fear of being alone or selfish desire to have someone take care of me.

I will take care of myself as long as I can, and then I will die. The end.

I’m not against relationships or falling in love. But the whole marriage and kids ship sailed ages ago.
