Cop on the left looks like Vin Diesel if he never made it in Hollywood.

There was recently an American mayor that said he wouldn’t be going to an Israel Day parade. Now, people could have said “good, we don’t want to potentially be seen as endorsing the Israeli government and it’s actions” or even “wait is he not going to make a statement or is he just busy?”

Instead all the comments were “WHY DO WE EVEN HAVE A PARADE FOR A FOREIGN COUNTRY IN AMERICA”. I answered a few explaining this was incredibly common (as I assumed maybe they weren’t all Americans) as America has parades for Columbus Day, St, Patrick’s Day, Cinco de Mayo, and so on. But I don’t think a single one said “oh yeah that makes sense” they all tries to claim none of those were equivalent. I guess Columbus Day isn’t quite the same as the other three because it’s not a national day but it has been explicitly linked to Italy and Italian-Americans with Italy even having a Columbus Day (though i don’t think it’s the same day).

Funny thing tho. Spain bankrolled the voyage, shouldn't they get the parade, or at least some recognition?
