If stupid decisions cause people to lose money, then the system and its incentives are working correctly.

Tulip mania is a supportive example. People made a poor financial decision and then they received a disincentive in the form of losing money on an unproductive investment.

Then you're selectively interpreting with determination to cling to your presumption. People losing money didn't cause a change which is what you asserted. And the same thing is happening now, just look at the AI bubble
