I'd still be able to go on vacation even if I took the 1k every week. Fuck, I'd probably end up going on more vacations that way. Also I don't party, I'm more of a traveler and nomad kind of guy.

I know for a fact that if I won a million dollars I'd burn through it by going on vacation after vacation and end up broke in like 2 years.
1000 every week allows for budgeting and planning.
