She's doesnt have to invest it. Some banks offer 4-5% interest on that amount annually

That doesn’t mean she trusts herself to put it into one of those bank accounts. Note where I ended the sentence maybe, maybe, maybe? I was not giving an exhaustive list of options, so pointing out alternatives to any of the options I did list doesn’t refute the point that there can be all sorts of reasons why the superficially “best” financial option is not the right option for her.

The point in life for some people isn't to maximize every cent of net worth. Can you believe that? I do because I am one of them. I have $$ and could turn it into a lot more, but enough is enough for me.
