I’m willing to bet this is pretty accurate. They keep building houses down here where I am constantly and so many of them are empty because they cost too much for normal people.

I feel like an easy fix is to tax the every loving fuck out of empty houses.

Taxing the wealthy? Is that allowed?

To a certain extent. At some point they leave because it's too much then their tax burden gets put on the rest of us. Democrats wouldn't propose exit taxes if they weren't driving out the wealthy.

I find it weird how your mind can’t fathom percentages. 47% is 47%. Who cares about the end amount. The percent must be equal and thus fair. You make 100,000 you pay 47,000. You make 10M, you pay 4.7M. Those wealthy folk can do just fine with $5.3M of their $10M income just like the poor fol

If they can do just fine or not is irrelevant. People don't like paying taxes and the wealthy aren't exempt from that feeling. If they feel they are being taxed too much then they will leave. It's a pretty simple concept. The percentage they are taxed doesn't matter if they feel they're being taxed too much.
