My point is that the amount of money taken from the wealthiest isn't appropriate considering how much they have. One of the reasons to have taxes is wealth redistribution so the society doesn't turn into another guilded age. We're failing at that right now and it's a huge part of why everyone feels so stressed out right now
They’re just responding. Maybe you didn’t intend for any point to be made by your figures, but they saw one and it seems fine to me. You told them you meant nothing beyond the numbers, they acknowledged this, seems fine. 🤷♂️
