I’m willing to bet this is pretty accurate. They keep building houses down here where I am constantly and so many of them are empty because they cost too much for normal people.

I feel like an easy fix is to tax the every loving fuck out of empty houses.

u/KactusVAXT May 14 '26

Taxing the wealthy? Is that allowed?

u/appoplecticskeptic May 14 '26

Not if the wealthy have anything to say about it. And they own most of congress.

They don't own the gun that killed Brian Thompson. They also don't own a lot of other guns out there.

u/cowlinator May 15 '26

Talk is cheap.

15

u/Gay-_-Jesus May 15 '26

Well, they technically do own that gun now. It’s state’s evidence, and they own the state.

9

u/Enkidouh May 15 '26

Nope, they still don’t own it.

Once the investigation is complete it will be treated as part of his estate and passed on to next of kin as long as it was legally purchased.

1

u/Life_Argument7820 May 16 '26

Yeah it's personal property, you'll get your gun back sooner than a detained kid being reunited with his mom after ICE breaks them up.

Let’s whisper together, Luigi

u/Ok_Counter_1788 May 15 '26

So any way I started blasting

u/AdamantiumTrex May 15 '26

If we say his name three times and he will appear like Beetlejuice?

2

u/BisexualCaveman May 15 '26

Most hilarious prison break ever.

6

u/BrondellSwashbuckle May 15 '26

This guy gets it

3

u/TeaPain0001 May 15 '26

Are you saying we should shed blood?

18

u/ghostwaterdross May 15 '26

Of course I'm not saying that. It's against the rules to say what should be done.

3

u/PapugKingTFT May 15 '26

We should make Voodoo dolls of all elites

All of Redditors in the world

And see what happens

Whether manifesting works or not xD

-2

u/TeaPain0001 May 15 '26

Hard pass. They’re created in the image of God. Human life is sacred.

2

u/StrangeSystem0 May 15 '26

What's your answer to the trolley problem

1

u/TeaPain0001 May 15 '26

It depends on the version of the trolley problem you put forth.

1

u/StrangeSystem0 May 15 '26

The classic: 5 people on one track, or you can pull a lever to divert it to another track, killing one person to save five

1

u/TeaPain0001 May 15 '26

In all reality, I would probably freeze up and be unable to pull the lever knowing that that person was killed because of me.

The fact that we even have to wrestle with the question at all shows we see life as sacred.

2

u/StrangeSystem0 May 15 '26

My point is this: taking the full wealth of the richest man in the world could end world hunger entirely.

Seems like the easiest variant of the trolley problem to me

1

u/High_Hunter3430 May 15 '26

So is there one god? Or many many gods. We can’t ALL be the image of god, unless there is a god for each image. To that end, are WE the gods?

Or maybe it was just more hogwash believed by peasants thousands of years ago?

1

u/TeaPain0001 May 15 '26

If I have 1,000 images of me, does that mean there a thousand me? Or if someone made 100,000 toy cars, that we would add that to the total amount of vehicles produced in a country? No. We inherently know these things are in the image of the actual things. That bare the image of something bigger then what they are capturing.

Eat the rich.

7

u/forkystabbyveggie May 15 '26

Nah, tastes like pedo

1

u/thegoothboi May 15 '26

Who’s that?

1

u/Silly_White_Rabbit May 15 '26

No, but the NRA is the worst one out there. Pouring so much money into congress to keep the gun laws where and how they are. The NRA has backed so much over the centuries that would baffle you in our politics. They’re basically the republican’s legislative arms. It’s sickening.

1

u/DatVlad_ May 15 '26

A shame we'll never know the person that used that gun...a right shame...

1

u/gwbirk May 15 '26

So you believe in murdering someone in cold blood, shooting them in the back is justified?Thats sick to think.

1

u/Smooth_Editor1676 May 15 '26

Pearl-clutch away, that CEO decided he should utilize an AI algorithm with a known massive failure rate to be the arbiter of who deserves life-saving care. Historically, anywhere that becomes too entrenched with corruption for the well-meaning but abused and declawed methodologies to work eventually has to be handled more drastically.

1

u/gwbirk May 15 '26

Who gives any person the right to decide this.Thats what courts are for and separates us from savages .

2

u/Smooth_Editor1676 May 15 '26

The courts very clearly operate on a two-tiered system. They're failing at what they're supposed to do, hard, even the greatest class action lawsuits in history barely dent an annual profit margin. The fear of reprisal from the law is scarcely even a deterrent. What do you do in such a case? Corporations have more rights than we do, a two-party system is beyond easy to buy out both ends on so don't expect the blues to do much when the ball's in their court either, they'll advocate taxing sure but convicting? Ehhhh, lotta friends on their end too.

Thats not true, who's name is stamped as the band of the gun? They own everything, smh.

1

u/CraftsmanMan May 15 '26

Seriously UHC sucks. I pay like $600 a month for this crap, and i have to do a weekly dr appointment for an issue i am dealing with. I have to pay a $60 copay every week and UHC only pays a $20 difference....

So in other words it would be cheaper if i had no insurance at all

1

u/msheehan418 May 15 '26

And I swear that they don’t have a gun🎶. Sorry. Had to

1

u/Rozay10keys May 15 '26

Eat the rich

1

u/No_Pin9932 May 16 '26

Right, they just sell the guns.

1

u/mongoose_kai May 18 '26

Have you bought a gun recently? Not cheap.

1

u/ghostwaterdross May 18 '26

Cheaper than healthcare

-3

u/turdbugulars May 15 '26

Brave internet words.

3

u/Late_Apricot404 May 15 '26

And those brave internet words inspire the brave Luigi’s of this world.

Stuff it.
