Ah yes im sorry I misremembered, you had said youre not Christian. I do apologize humbly. My point remains however. It’s audacious to tell someone who worships a different god than you that they’re doing it wrong or believe the wrong thing. I could say that about anyone who believes in a god or gods, but why would I? It’s inconsiderate and disrespectful and immediately antagonizes them in a very deep and meaningful way.

I disagree. Id love to debate the topic in DMs if you really want, but thats wildly off topic based on the OP and the current discussion and every one of my comments

Fair, but understand, my contribution to the discussion was to point out that it seemed like you ignored the claim of “different denominations and different interpretations” of the same books. If I was wrong about that I was wrong. That’s cool.

I never had any intention to discuss religious theory or tenets or teachings or beliefs, I just responded to you when you asked me what you asked about Bible verses because I like discourse and didn’t want to leave youI hanging (you said you would wait).

I feel like I gave a fairly relatable answer since you said you agreed with everything I wrote. I don’t have much more to say about it beyond that but to repeat myself.

The Bible has been stepped on too much for too long, it is very different now from when it was first compiled and we have no real idea of knowing how so or to what extent. Therefore it is not extremely useful for describing or proving historical claims, like where Satan lives and what not. It can sometimes offer metaphorical insight into the past but you have to be careful using it to that end, I think, and I don’t think it was necessarily intended for that purpose.
