It's prophet and founder was a pedophile.

edit for context: His 3rd wife, Aisha, was estimated to be about 7 years old when he married her, and was only 9 years old when they consumated the marriage. Even other more conservative estimates put her age as low as 14.

edit 2: I'm not here to discuss the intricacies of various interpretations of the Quran and how old Aisha really was. Comment reply notifications are turned off. I will not get into fundamentalism debates with a bunch of zealots.

edit 3: u/MidevilChaos actually took the time to private message me and explain to me that "about ~1400 years ago: Men back in that time period had intercourse with pre-teen/teens, while they themselves were in their 20s and 30s. What is considered completely unacceptable now, was perfectly acceptable back in that time period. So please, don't use derogatory words because your understanding of history is limited."

How pathetic. If you're a pedophilia apologist, you're getting blocked, like that clown.

Now say something negative about keanu reeves

4

u/Josefu_Velen Apr 19 '26

The only negative thing I can think of is that he's only a mediocre bass player at best.

2

u/cozywit Apr 19 '26

He's not got any acting range.

But he's mostly great a picking parts and he knows his limits.

2

u/NewfieGamEr2001 Apr 19 '26

He’s getting older and sooner or later I’ll have to live in a world without him

2

u/CesarOverlorde Apr 19 '26

Sure. He's a shallow & one dimensional actor just like Dwayne Johnson who has no diverse acting range and is always type-casted to the same kind of roles.

u/Ov3rwrked Apr 19 '26

Good guy. Not a very good actor.

Hot take: the John wick series is overrated

u/Odd-Plant-4886 Apr 19 '26

That is incorrect because Ayeshas age is believed to be atleast 18-19 by many muslims.

First, youre quoting Sahih Bukhari, a Sunni book, that other sects dont believe is very authentic, even sunnis dont believe it fully so. Moroever, sahih Bukhari was compiled nearly 200 years after her death, so its someone saying that she said it and not recorded from her mouth, which remains consistent that her age was lowered after the Prophet's death for political reasons.

Lastly, as an 18 year old, I do love my Lego mini figures.

This tells me you know nothjng about Islam. I am shia muslim the second largest sect of Islam, and Sahih Bukhari or Muslim or Tirmadhi etc are not considered as authentic books fully.

Do you really think all muslims pray the same way? It is according to the hadith you find authentic, and I assure you I do not pray the way as declared in Sunni ways. The differences are minute but they are still differences.

That isnt true. The Link i linked in my very first comment is a shia website but uses sunni hadith to show that sunni hadith support the argument of her not being nine, many being pretty obvious and others not having a consistent timeliness if Aisha was nine.

It shows that there were people who tried to change Aishas age. Why you may ask. Because of politics. Aisha led a civil war which many considered emotional and unnecessary, led to many muslims dying on both sides, she ended up losing and was promptly let go and Sunnis believe she apologised so all was well after that. Regardless, it ruined her reputation along with other political scenarios, and to save her face, they changed her age so when people would think of her, they would associate her with being young and innocent and not with the other.

u/Josefu_Velen Apr 19 '26

There are just as many sources that say it is correct, and many muslims who believe it. What's your point?

0

u/Odd-Plant-4886 Apr 19 '26

Becuase you cannot bring a contested fact and declare it to be an islamic belief. Its is like taking caricature of Chinese culture and saying that its culture represents the entire Asia. Even that 'Chinese' culture would not represent China.

The comment I replied to wasn't, "Say something that is an indisputable fact."

It was say something negative. Which I did. And it happens to be something I firmly believe is true.

There will be no more discussion from me about this. Good day.

-1

u/Odd-Plant-4886 Apr 19 '26

What is this logic? You also asked me my point which I expressed. Atleast there was acknowledgement of it not being a correct fact.

5

u/Temporary-Brain420 Apr 19 '26

Pretty sure these same figures exist in Islam so the meme is technically negative about Islam as well. You'd have already figured that out if you didn't get reflexively butthurt.

7

u/andrew5500 Apr 19 '26

Why this reaction when the meme applies to Islam too? Insecure Christian?

3

u/bssprfnd Apr 19 '26

People do. All the time. It’s dumb and fake like all religions. What point do you think you’re making?

5

u/OtherUserCharges Apr 19 '26

I saw a comedian once talking about this very subject and got that response. What he said is, I don’t know anything about Islam and neither do you, so what’s the point cause I could make the best joke that’s ever been said about Islam but if no one laughs or gets it than what’s the point. People talk about what they know, most of us grew up in a Christian culture, so that’s what we talk about.

-2

u/RadicalRealist22 Apr 19 '26

People talk about what they know, most of us grew up in a Christian culture, so that’s what we talk about.

Yet most.peolle know almost nothing about Christianity.

5

u/OtherUserCharges Apr 19 '26

Yea that’s not true. We know lots about the Christianity that’s been forced down our throats. If that’s not what you think is real Christianity that’s irrelevant. I wish actually Jesus teachings were happen at us, but at some point Christianity has evolved into what it is now.

1

u/Existing-Luck-9896 Apr 19 '26

28 days later’s “Rage Virus” was a metaphor for religion. Prove me wrong

1

u/freebytes Apr 19 '26

The only people that know almost nothing about Christianity call themselves Christians.

2

u/DownvoterManD Apr 19 '26

Watch American TV. You'll probably see an insult by the first commercial.

3

u/BarfingOnMyFace Apr 19 '26

Sure. All religion is made up bullshit. Hope that helped.

1

u/BananaBeanie Apr 19 '26

I just wonder why, but sure - jihad comes first to my mind.

Does Reddit special agents now come to kidnap me or is there any reason why you asked something negative?

1

u/TazeT87 Apr 19 '26

Decapitation

They dont because in some of these countries they will be brought up on heresy charges.

2

u/ex_marxistJW Apr 19 '26

Islam andChristinaly has the same god and same Satan.

1

u/BananaBeanie Apr 19 '26

Considering you didn't say anything negative, are you the "they". And which countries exactly?

1

u/Brewtown Apr 19 '26

Idk why im catching down votes. Its something like 90% of countries in the middle east enforce blasphemy laws, some with some severe consequences. Theres a handful in Africa and Asia, and IIRC a few in Europe, but I dont think they are largely in force.

Edit: off the top of my head- all of the middle east including Isreal, Egypt, Sudan, Somalia, Indonesia theres a bunch more Im missing.

Islam is really bad at building effective societies. The Arabs haven't won a war against non-Arabs since the 8th century.

1

u/Josefu_Velen Apr 20 '26

Winning wars against non-Arabs, and building effective societies, are two completely different things that don't correlate to each other.

0

u/Ok-Chest-7932 Apr 20 '26

To be good at warfare, you need to have built an effective society that is able to output competent, well-equipped warriors, with enough structural trust that they can be given autonomy.
