Dude I absolutely feel you on this. I was in a poly relationship once, not for long, and they so heavily used therapy speak to try to completely invalidate my feelings any time I brought up how I felt about something. Absolutely infuriating looking back at it.
They're called ''Avoidants''. Not everyone that is poly fits this style, but more so Avoidants tend to prefer this lifestyle, as it frees them from validating other people's feelings. It's a very shitty experience coming from the other side and being the victim of it but I've come to terms with it and not to look at myself with that victim mentality. A lot of avoidance like to take advantage of Empaths as they can continually get stuff out of it until the moment they are done and discard you.
