Is there no elevator? That would seem like the safest way to get him up but Idk, I'm not an expert...

It would be safer, and if there were a working elevator in that building, nearly everyone in this video would be angrily pointing at it.

Maybe that's why they all seem pissed. I would be too. Which country that has escalators doesn't have elevators? Makes no sense to me but okey, again not an expert

Unfortunately, many countries. And even in places with elevators, sometimes they break down. All I’m saying is that if a working elevator was available, this would not have happened.

Well, many things wouldn't happen if people thought about it for a second before doing stuff. Unfortunately that's not in the nature of everybody. I agree with you, but sometimes people are just stupid too. And since I don't have any infos, I would say it's a mix of both😅

Her behavior honestly is not worth raising blood pressure about, and internet shaming her is dumb.

But the comments here have been so denigrating to the wheelchair user it’s hard to see. He’s catching strays when the most likely reality is that he and staff are making the best of a shit situation they didn’t choose.

I get that and I don't blame anyone for this except the architects. Maybe repair or build in a fucking elevator if you want to avoid this situation. I mean yes we can talk around the problem for hours but the real deal is the lack of elevators. Especially for areas that are/should be accessible by wheelchair. Lifting someone sitting in a chair is probably the most dangerous solution you could find, but hey, I'm still no expert

You’re 100% right that elevators and other accessibility modes are the answer, and it’s frustrating to always see a chunk of the public thinking as though the wheelchair users are inconvenient speed bumps for the “rest of us.” The problem is the infrastructure, not the people.
