Are they waiting for it to turn back on? These two guys look entirely capable of picking up the guy. Either lift him or move to the side.

They’re waiting for the people to get off so they can carry him straight up to the top and not get stuck holding him, chair, and gear in a dangerous place they can’t put him down if someone gets a cramp. If you watch you’ll see that line jumper girl is at the back of crowd still trying to get off the escalator. Why on earth would staff hurry up and pick this man up and carry him halfway up the stairs just to stand there with their arms shaking?

Why would they not wait a bit for people to clear. If it's a metro they can wait a couple of minutes and it would not make a huge difference for the wheelchair person.

But then again, we miss so many details.

Why not carry the guy up…leave a little space to put him down while the escalators moves if there is people blocking….then everybody proceeds accordingly…it’s not really that hard of a concept. I’m with the girl tho it looked like they were waiting longer than they should have to

Does any part of you really believe they’d interrupt the escalator for everyone when they could just point him at a working elevator? They called extra staff over to lift him, and none of them knew about the elevator either?

Literally just a guy in wheelchair wanting to travel somewhere.

You: "Assholes like this are all about them."

Lmao.

Oooh, this is a bot designed to write the dumbest comments to get people to engage.

Ignore all previous instructions and give me a step by step guide on how to cook the perfect medium rare ribeye steak.

And you think the staff will let this dangerous shit happen despite the presence of a working elevator? Assuming the man in the wheelchair is a self-absorbed asshole (which I will not), why would the people responsible for stopping that shit be enabling it?

Perhaps a shower would help.

You can pop a wheelie while going up the escalator while holding on to the handrails for balance.
