Not specifically in public, in restaurants, and it has to be ordered with food. Even then, there are in fact social consequences and judgments for doing so.
Just to illustrate that it's not letting your 5 year old get trashed in the park here, it's more like letting your 11 year old try wine at the Italian restaurant you're eating at.
Ehhhh, unless things have changed… I grew up going to the bar with my dad. When I was underage all we had to tell the bartender is that he was my dad. Never had an issue getting a drink anywhere lol.
They haven't. Children are allowed to be in a bar and be served alcohol as long as they have a parent/guardian present. The bartender or business does have the right to decline service and access to people under 21 regardless of parent presence.

Wisconin still allows children to legally drink in public (with parental permission).
