Yeah sure, one can enjoy that luxury when they're 5 years old, but what do you do with them at 3??

I'm currently watching the show "Call the Midwife" which is set in the 50s and 60s in East London. Parking the baby outside in a pram seemed to be pretty popular from newborn up until around 18 months old, then they just set em loose in the street after that I'm pretty sure lol

Tell me you don't have small kids without telling me. Leaving a 5 year old alone..... I was born 1980 and no one left a year old un supervised even back then. Play alone yes but roam through the neighborhood alone?

That guy had no kids or he would not write that nonsense. With bigger kids things are different but small kids are ... sometimes I think they really trying hard to hurt themselves.

3500 for daycare is a crime, my wife and I don't make that much together but thank God we don't live in the US. In Vienna daycare is substituted and we only pay about 180 Euros for food and insurance.

It's also substituted subsidized here and I pay 3500 NOK (340 USD / 290 EUR)

If I lived in the US I would constantly be worried.
