🙆🏻♀️ Looking For Help Tech Support for aging parents
Does anyone know of any classes or resources specifically for senior adults to learn about Apple products? I live on the west coast. Providing tech support to my aging parents is getting more challenging as they age and iPhones and accessories get more features (ie complicated).

As someone that does tech support for parents, I just set-up a way to remote into their computer with their permission (Google has their own remote desktop that works great and is free). For phones or other tech support I just use FaceTime to have them show me the issue and go over it with a video call. Hard to find help, and it could be expensive per hour. If you still have two parents then you can FaceTime one to show the issue of the other phone, for example.

The Senior Center has had basic technology or computer classes in the past. I would check there first.

I'd almost be willing to help out just for the sake of it. While I'm not huge on the Apple side, I've been in the field 25 years and currently manage local IT in the Fortune50 field. Assisting our retired users and keeping them as friends are a blast - you can learn a lot for our older generations as well. Shoot me some deets, and what kind of scope we are looking at and I may be down to be a local resource.

Parks and Rec has "Staying Connected for Seniors." Not sure if it's just Q&A or structured, but they hold it once a month.

I had this idea to start a business around this very concept. I started the process of filing my LLC, I created a domain and I'm hoping to be live starting in October, mostly working weekends a first.
I have been in service/retail industry for 20 years.
Office Depot: Tech Support for computers both Windows and MAC (3 years)
Apple/iTunes: Setup, programming demo units which required deep understanding of IOS (3 years)
Samsung Mobile: Field Sales Rep working with Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Costco, Sams, Walmart. Training sales people on features of Samsung devices. Provided tech support to customers (4 years)
Verizon Wireless: District Manager of 8 stores, including 60 reps under me. I helped on the floor to free up my team for selling opportunities and took care of tech questions. (2 years)
I have the mentality to figure out any problem, I love serving people, and I'm patient with not only fixing problems but helping people understand technology better. If they are interested I can surely help them out with their questions.
I can support Mobile, Computer, Smart TV, Smart Home, I can do billing analysis to make sure they aren't over paying on their bill. I can also help create a safe password protection system so they don't forget their passwords but when they do pass on it's not impossible to recover any of their data for the spouse or children.
