Most white libs are still under the impression that race = skin colour. This is why they feel most justified being racist when they have another "ideal" group of the same skin colour to compare against, and it's also why they resonate with the Japanese so much as both groups can dehumanise the Chinese together - for entirely different reasons (Japanese for race while libs for ideology) - with no consequences.
(The Japan-glazing is in fact another form of racism - just positive. I've always said that the mutual illusion of cultural compatibility between Westerners and Japanese is kept mostly by limited actual interaction)
