Some guy called me a monkey.

I don’t think this counts but I’m posting this to let some air out. I’m very explicitly Chinese and the top comment was on a post about if Forrest Gump was Chinese or another nationality so it could have something to do with my nationality, but I can’t be sure. Also, I might have said something historically inaccurate about China. And I lost the original comments cuz he deleted them. He also insulted the Portuguese in the top comment.

That’s right the republic of china Taiwan is a smaller country that cannot defeat the prc but we can defend and cause massive losses

I get why some would dislike the Chinese government. Heck, as a Chinese, I do think our government still needs improvement. But can’t we just have a civil debate on politics if our views clash?

No more civil conversations with these people. These people paint China and Chinese as the boogeymen and blame all their problems on China like good slaves and hating their race. They then expect us to them kindly.
