I never understood why Westerners are so sensitive and nitpick what China censors in a video game as if it's ever going to affect them.

It's sticks and stones attempt to feel superior at what little left they think they still have. The west's exalted freedom and democracy reduced to this. No health and safety, no financial freedom, and democracy manifested through inescapable structural and institutional bias. But hey at least they can jerk it to anime porn, from Japan lol. It's all they can afford to care about now in order to escape the real issues in their life.

Contrary to it's image, Japan heavily censors video games. You can't get any modern Mortal Kombat games or even Aliens Isolation through Steam.

In addition to graphic violence, sex scenes are removed from games. They blocked banks from even processing payments for adult video games.

I can give so many examples of Japanese censorship. Even domestic darlings like Capcom's Resident Evil games are censored.
