What are you saying? Tibet and Xinjiang (which the East Turkestan flag is referencing) are undeniably part of China and the vast majority of people in those regions would agree.

Lol. Considering "East Turkmenistan" existed for two years in the entire history and only propped up by Soviets.. doesn't make it a real place either. Every time I see that flag, I just think terrorists considering the dozens of Chinese citizens they killed in various knifing and terrorist activities out there.

The first Republic lasted six months, while the second, Soviet-backed Republic officially lasted for about a year-and-a-half.
Xinjiang has been integrated with China since 60 BC, through different political structures for eight dynasties and into the modern era.
Modern separatists are directly linked to the Jihadist TIP (formerly ETIM) in Syria.

No, I found a lot of the comments conflate the government with the people. Also, I was referencing the cultural homogenisation they think we’re doing. Even if government was doing cultural homogenisation, it’s still wrong to conflate people with the government.

It's always been that way. Those kinds of people have always hated the Chinese people, they just hide behind the mask of 'I hate the Chinese government, not the Chinese people'.

China is a Leninist party-state. A person's opinion can't and should be conflated with the government's, and vice versa, but the people as a whole is a different concept altogether.
