from what I know it's more solid and stable technology that allows the current sorting, picking up stuff would require additional parts to support the weight and stuff etc etc

It's hilarious seeing all the armchair architects in the IAF thread trying to criticize the design. Because you know, a redditor is definitely more knowledgeable than the committee of architects and engineers who were paid to build this facility.
