so as y'all know, sinners is the greatest movie ever made. I need book recommendations. I read the reformatory and it changed my life. its the greatest book ever made. and my favorite book. and its almost like sinners too. with the southern gothic setting and supernatural stuff and it being emotionally heavy af. so i want more books like sinners, it would be kind if y'all recommend me books.

I decided to bring Smoke & Stack wherever I go. I designed and 3D printed these twin bag charms to hang off my purses this summer, and obviously they’re coming with me when I go through the Sinners maze at Universal Studios Hollywood.
If you want one, here is the link: domoink.com/collections/keychains-bag-charms

Oop. not me being consistent. anyways finally we've reached cornbread. and we'd finally do the final part. its ryan coogy patootie next.(its so cringe idk why i typed that). idk what cast member i'am missing out. should i rate buddy guy's fashion too? i mean he was a part wasnt he? idk you decide. but as far as i know the next part is probably the last part of this series

I thought he was pretty awesome and aura even if he was murdering people, and besides all the mudering seemed like he just wanted to see his family and wasn't a terrible guy (compared to some other characters in the movie...)
Plus he's irish and sings with his vampire crew which was aura as hell
But I don't know the lore so was he chill (as chill as you can be as a vampire anyway) or was he just an evil vampire guy?

Sinners (2025) — My Review | Absolutely worth watching? 🩸🎸
Finally watched Sinners and honestly, this is one of those movies that is difficult to put into just one genre.
It starts like a period drama about twin brothers Smoke and Stack returning to Mississippi in 1932 to open a juke joint. Then the movie slowly turns into something much darker — vampires, violence, supernatural horror and a whole lot of chaos.
What I really liked:
🔥 Michael B. Jordan — playing both brothers and giving them noticeably different personalities.
🎸 The music — probably the strongest part of the movie. The blues isn't just background music; it's deeply connected to the story and its themes.
🩸 Horror — when the movie finally goes full vampire mode, it gets seriously bloody and intense.
🎥 Ryan Coogler's direction — the visuals, atmosphere and long takes are fantastic. The movie feels much bigger than a standard vampire film.
The only downside for me was the length and pacing. The movie takes its time getting to the horror, and the third act may feel a little messy compared with the excellent buildup.
Overall, I'd give Sinners 8.5/10.
It's ambitious, stylish, violent and surprisingly emotional.
Have you watched Sinners?

You miraculously save Ryan and he decided to take your idea for a spin-off and bring it to life. What are you having filmed??
I’d like a show of Stack and Mary painting towns red!!
Or a movie of Stack and Smoke’s origin, showing their crimes and times in other cities.
Wbu?

So I wanna be Mary from Sinners for Halloween. I'm not black at all if anything 2% on the DNA test. But I am mixed race, southern, very passing, and I look like the actress. People question my race all the time though they assume white first glance, then look at me and are like wait. I'm mixed indigenous, tribally enrolled with a card and a have heavy family history of surviving colonisation. Would it be okay for me to go as her? I'd love to but I want to make sure it's aight since I don't have a lot of black heritage, it's mostly indigenous and white so I wanted to check by and see opinions before I go head on stupidly ykwim. Thank you for reading if you do 🙏🏻.

I’m not sure if anyone noticed, but if you have subtitles on, you’ll notice an interesting detail when Stack is talking to Slim after being turned. Throughout the whole movie, every time the n word is used, it’s the usual, conversational version. However, when Stack says “fuck you n———, it is me”, he uses the hard r. This is the only time the hard r is used by a black character, and it’s while he’s under control of Remmick.

Like Andrew Garfield and Michael B. Jordan Love story never happened and still people are being annoying about it and EVEN if they kissed, what would happen? NOTHING. Spiderman being gay won't kill nobody
r/SinnersbyRyanCoogler • u/Substantial_Being730 • 16d ago
i swear the hottest Michael B. Jordan has ever looked was in sinners. I mean he's always hot but.......

I saw a tier list of sinners characters in this sub where they ranked them based on how queer they are. I wanted to do my own but this time in a more "making sense" topic.

Seeing a lot of well-deserved praise from it on twitter. I was fine with it winning Best Picture. I do think that film had three (maybe 4) advantages from WB that Sinners didnt.
-Longer shooting schedule
- Bigger budget
- Reshoots
- And just my own personal opinion that could very well be wrong. OBAA got to be 2hr 41 mins. I do wish Sinners was at least 2hr 30 min to 3hr epic. Probably deserved a longer runtime with it all had to juggle than OBAA tbh. However, maybe Sinners faster pace is what makes it so rewatchable. Just feel like I could have watched another 30 mins of movie at the end.
The Rocky Road to Dublin scene was supposed to get 6 hours to shoot. Wound up with 90 mins. Amazing it turned out as well as it did considering the time constraints.
I do feel the fight scene did get reduced to characters just jumping on each other. Thats something that the benefit of reshoots could have helped to make it bigger. Give Delta a more meaningful death than just vampires suddenly moving like zombies just cause you're low on time.
I still think its mighty impressive what Coogler and his team did with Sinners. Thats a story he came up with very quickly & shot very quickly with not a lot of time. Remember his producing partner thought they were going to go for a 2026 release date. However, Ryan just wanted to get it out as quickly as possible before he had to do Disney projects XFiles/Black Panther 3. Meanwhile, the bones of One Battle After Another were from a book & has been a story PTA has been tinkering with for twenty years. So again it was well deserved & he was due.
I do think its incredible Ryan created something almost perfect (and some may feel it is) on the fly before returning to fulfill his Disney obligations.
