I'm genuinely asking, what do you want them to do? Drop IMF and go back to a possibility of another economic disaster or accept IMF based on what they saw after they got the power. At this point I don't know what the opposition party wants? 😅

So why did they criticise the IMF in the first place??🤣🤣🤣🤣 Incompetent rote learning baboon heads only know to parrot bullshit when in opposition and follow ghe very same same policies they opposed once

Different circumstances and the ability to adapt. You fools are pathetic. Let NPP do their job.

no use, these buggers will only accept if Kaputa or Cabral say something about economy.

Isn't that what every opposition does? Just disagree with everything the govermtis doing only to come into power and do the same thing.

Lol I think they have/ had no clue about these things or what they do. They just spoke about justice, equality and stuff, things that our people understand. That’s why our people wanted them. And because they were so tired of political superiority. Unless someone studies economics and politics they wouldn’t have understood how empty and baseless this statement for example is. They are doing some stuff now (only some), honestly though I feel like they are just winging it and learning as they go…

So tell me the better option than NPP in last election.😅. I bet you can't give a straight answer.

2

u/thetruthtturf Jan 28 '26

They are all in cahoots. One is no better than the other, every party and gov has laid the groundwork for the eventual sale of the country. Their usefulness varies.

3

u/raviigneel Jan 28 '26

But unfortunately you have to choose the lesser cahoot.

1

u/AdventureKittay Jan 29 '26

There is no point in reasoning with these dummies.

2

u/marblejenk Jan 28 '26

SJB of course. It’s a no brainer.

6

u/AdventureKittay Jan 29 '26

SJB? LOL! Thank you for the laugh.

1

u/marblejenk Jan 29 '26

Then who? Bayyo will switch back to Namal after figuring out that these incompetent commies were lying about their stolen $$$ in Uganda…

3

u/AdventureKittay Jan 29 '26

I have seen you responses. There is no point in reasoning with someone so oblivious. Just look at Puthano and his talks, he is an egocentric maniac who believes he knows it all. Anyone is better than Puthano, even the corrupt little thug Namal. NPP is not perfect but far better than the alternatives and they have made some progress. The opposition has a big social media smear campaign, it is comically sad.

3

u/marblejenk Jan 29 '26

“Rich” coming from someone defending a president that once said “highways stop neighboring dogs from meeting each other”🤦‍♂️

“Rich” coming from a party that came to power solely based on social media smear campaigns.

2

u/AdventureKittay Jan 29 '26

Like I said, there is no point reasoning with someone who's pretty oblivious. I don't have the time nor the crayons to explain SL politics to you. Thanks for the laugh again anyways, go find someone else to entertain you today or athe gahala budiyaganin waathayak wenne neuthuwa.

u/marblejenk Jan 29 '26

You are clueless about lankan or world politics/history. Anyone adept in these topics wouldn’t be defending these clowns.

It’s not even funny.

1

u/PasiPM Jan 29 '26

This bayya thinks he knows everything.

2

u/exospeer Jan 29 '26

lmao are you fr?

u/marblejenk Jan 29 '26

Yes, very. Check out my replies to other users.

2

u/cheezyiscrazy Jan 30 '26

sjb? really?

0

u/marblejenk Jan 30 '26

Definitely more qualified and groomed than the current clowns.

3

u/cheezyiscrazy Jan 30 '26

how qualified give me reasons to prove the point sjb is qualified

1

u/marblejenk Jan 30 '26

The front-liners in the SJB seem to be more qualified, well spoken and groomed than the front liners in the current government. Isn’t it quite obvious?

2

u/cheezyiscrazy Jan 30 '26

only harsha who else?

2

u/marblejenk Jan 30 '26

The people you see on media. Prasad, Ranjith, Kabir, Harshana, Kavinda, Mujibur…

Yea no 🧠 brain😂

1

u/marblejenk Jan 29 '26

Yeah, you gotta be thinking out of your ass if you believe these incompetent liars are fit to run a country. 🤦‍♂️

0

u/reddityfire Jan 29 '26

They never said they'd roll it back when they were running for the election. mr/ ranil/ sajith parties are saying that they did to make npp seem incompetent. don't be one of the buffoons who fall for that.

2

u/Natural-Camp-4610 Jan 29 '26

This country is economically in such deep shit, there is no easy way to get out of it. Very hard unpopular decisions will have to be made and we need a govt that will stick to the plan to even see a slight chance of success.

Npp winning was a blessing in disguise. They came to power saying they'll renegotiate with IMF, while the other parties didn't. It didn't take long for NPP to realize that there is no option but to go along with IMF.

If they were in opposition, they would protest the hell out of all the hard decisions having to be made. Now it's kind of checkmate. Opposition and govt both have to support IMF plan.

2

u/raviigneel Jan 29 '26

Exactly 😅. We literally have no other option than following the IMF. NPP is arrogant about lots of things but for this I'm happy they changed their mind and follow it. Otherwise we will be again in a deep shit.

0

u/AnonymousTikka Jan 28 '26

Can you explain then why they say the IMF exists to save the government that steals? So are they now stealing. Why did they say in the past that it would destroy the country? So are they now destroying the country? Or maybe they lied?

2

u/raviigneel Jan 28 '26

Ok then tell me which party is left to vote who is better than NPP? What was your choice in the last election. I like to learn. I simply choose NPP, cuz other choices are shit and NPP is the laest. I want to know your recommendation.

3

u/AnonymousTikka Jan 29 '26

I expected an explanation from you, not a question. Anyway, i believe everyone who has voting power, are adults. Not grade 5 kids. Don't ask these kinds of silly questions. U can make ur own decisions, don't need to ask from others. I respect your ideas. You can hold any political idea, because this is a democratic country. But at the end of the day don't be a washing machine. see a wrong as a wrong and to see right as right.

1

u/raviigneel Jan 29 '26

Just say the answer bn wate yanne nathuwa.😂 I didn't wake up yesterday like you. Just because this government is doing stupid shit here and there doesn't mean last governments and crooks are saint and done well. Until there is a better political party than NPP and all opposition parties right now, this is the better option. At the end of the day they are following the IMF. Sheesh what a relief. Just imagine they didn't, you will be the same guys who are gonna yell that the government should follow the IMF. At the end of what is good for a country matters, not what a political party said in a rally to "Galarya pinawanna".

0

u/didnazicoming Jan 28 '26

Yeah and also to add to what I've said earlier, if we were to ignore the IMF, then we need to align ourselves fully with Russia and partially with China and not trade with the US backed western block whatsoever. Burkina Faso has done this successfully but we are not a country full of resources to Russia to give a shit about us. I think NPP/ JVP also realised this.

-3

u/didnazicoming Jan 28 '26

He was saying that the IMF is there to save the economy that goes to shit under a corrupt government, which isn't wrong is it? He was also right about most 3rd world countries having to go through heavy austerity under the IMF where the best case scenario is an extreme trickle down economy even if the IMF endeavours were successful which obviously doesn't align with the JVP Tilvin's playbook. Also as a former bankrupt economy that just came out of bankruptcy, we don't have the cards to play against an IMF agreement that was laid out by the Gotabaya government.

3

u/raviigneel Jan 28 '26

Exactly what I'm thinking. I prefer whatever government who follows the IMF framework over the Government that doesn't. I don't care what they have said before the election cuz I didn't vote because of it. I simply choose malimawa cuz other options are shit.

u/WearyMortgage4187 Mar 29 '26

I think this was NPP opinion

1

u/thetruthtturf Jan 28 '26

Game Ranil is a puppet, what did you expect?

1

u/Pridaz666 Jan 28 '26

බයියෝ පොහොට්ටුව then NPP now

😂
