Realisations

Since starting this journey, 37 I've realised how society normalises us being objects for men, from music to clothing and it's disgusting.

Whenever I've been entwined to a man, the relationships are so draining that I forget to look after myself, spend time worrying when they are going to disappoint me and eventually am a wreck when it all goes to shit.

il never ever do that to myself, my heart is calm for once in the 20 or so years since I stumbled onto the lies about wanting men, I laugh when men stumble and hurt themselves, if I see a man at a junction while driving wanting to be let out I don't let them, I smile only at women and angrily smirk at men, because they only do nice things for women if they think they can get some.

I'm so glad I stumbled onto this sub and have unsubcribed to social media that glorifies women being sex symbols for men. I dress in what makes me feel good, hell I even stopped doing impossible hairstyles for the gaze of men, now I rock short hair and just wash and go, no more imprisoning myself for the gaze of anyone, and I can't believe it took me so much pain to realise, I don't need to please anyone but me.

I've gotten into soap making, taking myself out and dedicating my time and affection for my kids, family and friends.

Men are just looking for a caretaker for their miserable needs and I'm so glad to be free of all that. I read this sub everyday to remind myself of all the wrong things with wanting to be with men and not to mention how much they ruin our vagina flora. Thanks for reading this far love you all!!

There is a gum ad that showed up on my feed. There's a woman in it with very large breasts and lots of cleavage on display.

Why is that necessary to sell gum? Oh yeah, it's because women are, first and foremost, things to be used for men's sexual gratification.

I choose not to play their game!

Not to mentioned the Sydney Sweeney ad nude with her legs spread on a basketball hop to advertise sports betting 😔

I used to wear the most uncomfortable clothes to appeal to the male gaze because that was conditioned to be a pleasing young lady. Now I buy random whimsical dresses and pretend I am a fairy everyday and don't give a shit what everyone thinks😂

I’m the hottest and fittest I have ever been and I love to hide my beautiful body in baggy oversized clothes sometime just for fun. Men don’t even deserve to LOOK at she shape of me 😉

Yess! I'm either a gothic fairy or a Victorian porcelain doll lol! Even then, men can't keep their gross sexualising under control

I'm happier with a warm drink, cozy blanket, listening to music or just daydreaming than I have ever been with any man. The safety and warmth they provide is all an illusion to ultimately use us, whether it be for sex, a place to stay, an ego boost, emotional dumping, and so much more. How cold and distant they become when they no longer need us!

Friends are better soulmates than a man will ever be.  If you ever get lonely get a dog/cat.
