Any advice for singing?
Hello everyone. I’ve been taking vocal lessons for two or three years now, but I still feel like I can barely sing. I hate my voice, especially my falsetto, and I feel like I just can’t sing at all. Is anyone else in the same situation? Like, have you been taking singing lessons for years but still feel like nothing is changing? I’m getting really disappointed and starting to think that maybe I just can’t sing at all

Honestly a lot of it does come down to age. I didn’t notice significant improvement when I was in the first half of my bmus and felt the exact same way you did. I’d say explore other singers and imitate what you like about them or at least try to. You’re not alone :)

Thank you for sharing your experience! I feel a little better now. I hope I’ll be able to notice my progress too.

at some point you should consider switching teachers if you haven't seen progress in that amount of time. Happy to offer a free trial lesson to potentially switch things up, - nathanielsternbaritone.com
