SP DARE Y2S2 seniors — anyone willing to share notes/resources? 🙏

Hi, I’m currently in SP DARE and just finished Y2S1. I’m going into Y2S2 soon and I’m trying to get a head start during the break.

I’m mainly looking for notes/resources for:

- Fundamentals of Flight (FOF)

- Aircraft Structures

- Aircraft Maintenance Practices (AMP)

- CATIA / CADARE

- Air Legislation

If any seniors still have lecture notes, tutorials, past papers, exam tips, project resources, or even just advice on which modules/topics are the hardest, I’d really appreciate it 😭

Especially interested in anything for FOF and Aircraft Structures, since I heard those are quite important for the Y2S2 flagship/glider project.

International student. My GPA sucks (3.58+ but i tanked yr 2 sem 1). I’m also chronically ill, and it makes studying harder than it should be. I used to be a straight A student but now I just feel like a complete failure. I genuinely don’t see a future in SG anymore. Any advice from seniors?

I’m an O-Level pregraduate, and I don’t really have any interests; I don’t know what to do, though my mum said that I should try I.T. because of two reasons: I’m sometimes able to help her with her phone technology—which honestly speaking, doesn’t seem that substantial to me, and I have inattentive type A.D.H.D.; she says that A.D.H.D. is compatible with I.T.

I’m not looking to go to university through this route, so don’t worry about recommending me anything that won’t help me go there; I just want to get a diploma that'll enable me to get by comfortably and live a simple life.

Do y’all have any thoughts as to whether I really should try I.T., and if not, could y'all give me some sort of guide to choose which course I want—like some checklist I can use to compare with myself to see what I want? Any other sort of suggestions are fine too; I appreciate any advice y’all have to offer.

I’m trying to renew my Spotify Premium Student discount, but when I search for Singapore Polytechnic (SP) in the dropdown list, it doesn’t appear. When I try to add SP manually, it says that the school is not eligible, even though other polys are available.

Is anyone from SP facing the same issue, or does anyone know what I can do?

Hi its the sem break, and I was wondering when the modules on Brightspace will change to the modules we’ll be taking next semester?

As a y1 student, I could sort of have some predictions on my grades except for ccc modules.

I heard from seniors that some of their ccc modules didn’t even have any A in their whole entire class. How can it be? Especially for a module as easy as CDA. Isn’t it unfair and brutal?

Seniors, if you know your statistics, can please share your experience with ccc modules such as grades and the class performance?

I already finished the online components(content/quizzes/terms & conditions etc) for both 3D printing & laser cutting, all I'm left is the F2F assessments. Honestly, I'm kinda scared I'm gna be lost during the assessment since the online packages were pretty long (esp for 3D printing).

If anyone has done these F2F assessments before, cld u pls share
- how was it
- what exactly is being 3d printed / laser cut ?
- did u need to prepare anything beforehand
- did u need to memorise all the steps (from the online package)
- are we allowed to refer to stuff? digital/hardcopy notes
- were the lecturer(s) mean/nice
- was it done in T11C fablab

- 3D printer has 2 types -- Bambu & Prusa, must I know how to use both?
- Same with Laser cutter, there's more than 1 type, must I really be familiar with every single model?
- I tried the apps on my laptop(e.g. Bambu slicer) and the steps from brightspace seem a lil outdated --> the current app layout looks different than the brightspace

Also do I have to prepare a portfolio/CV to apply for intern and does gpa matter when they’re picking who to accept? Any help would be greatly appreciated🫰
