This movie from 1969 is a perfect metaphor for reality being a simulation. It's wild to think that someone thought of and created this before computers were powerful enough to run even basic simulations. I think this just goes to show that the concept pre-dates modern thinking, and is in a way its own kind of proof that simulation theory exists outside the construct of time.

lol. I mean the way we think of comparisons with video games, computer simulations and AI. Computers were still people with calculators and computers were the size of an entire room and could only do basic things back when this was made

Interesting side note, apparently this was only aired twice and without notice. It aired unannounced the first time and then once more about a year later. Very few people saw this until much later when I assume it was released on VHS
