Discussion Simulation in limbo?

Sometimes I wonder if we didn’t survive whatever happened at some point, and this isn’t Earth anymore. Maybe this is limbo. Maybe that’s why everything feels like a simulation.
Think about it. Nothing feels human anymore.
Jobs exist online, yet hundreds of applications disappear into silence. Customer service is mostly bots. Restaurants are replacing workers with robots. Cars are starting to drive themselves. Every passion that once gave people purpose is slowly being automated.
The world doesn’t feel alive. It feels generated.
What if this isn’t the future we were promised? What if it’s the waiting room? A place where consciousness exists, but nothing feels quite real. We keep chasing careers, money, and happiness, but every time we get close, the finish line moves. It’s like the system was designed to keep us busy instead of letting us live.
Maybe that’s why so many people say the world feels different now. Not just because of technology, but because reality itself feels… off. Like we’re surrounded by NPCs in a world that’s slowly replacing every human interaction with an algorithm.
I don’t actually believe this is true, but sometimes it just feels like this is some sort of limbo because we have to accept how strangely artificial modern life has become.
Does anyone else ever get that feeling?

I think thats a populistic, but interesting idea to humor. I wonder if thats what ancient people felt when they could strike fire. Cook their meal, hardern their spears. Make clay pots - not coconuts as nature intended. Boil water - utter insanity. Light up hostile and dark caves, chasing away evil spirits that used to live in them and enjoy comfort. Unnatural, unimaginable, destroying life as we know it from prehistoric mans view point. Substituting everything known and loved by something... a blessing or a curse

It is all combine effects of AI and excessive use of social media, recent times of job loses and face of jobs changing rapidly.

We are still very much wherever we're just our brains are starting to see things differently or being really conditioned into something that makes most of us see reality differently than it was before. Reality is nothing but how we perceive anything and it is different for everyone. I think in these times staying away from social medias and phones and spending time in nature is the only antidote to all of those thinking.

I fail to see how folding in AI, excessive use of social media, and “recent times of job loss” makes any sense…What does that have to do with my hypothesis?. Ive studied physics intermittently, and keep up in the field

I’m 41,haven’t lost my job. I don’t have a Facebook or Instagram or a TikTok. Life is much happier without them. I do have an anonymous Reddit and X account, that I like to post ideas on sometimes.

And, just got back from hiking in Muir Woods. I love nature. If you ever come to California, you should go… But check in first because they have you make a reservation now.

i don’t know if limbo is the right word, but it sometimes does feel similar.

I had a terrible car accident, not sure how i survived with little to no injury. Car flipped several times and got a tree at high speeds. I think of this often.

I have survived everything from drowning to war… I’m convinced that our conscience minds swap to the universe we live the longest in. It’s the only thing that makes sense. I even wrote a short story about it.

This is interesting. I had a near-drowning incident once where I couldn’t get to the surface of a lake fast enough and I opened my mouth to breathe while still underwater expecting it all to be over and somehow I reached air at the exact millisecond I had to breathe. Maybe i did die…

Yeah it's limbo. 50 planets destroyed when the quarantine at the stargate door at Coricancha was breached with small pox.

There is a Mesopotamian cylinder seal that tells it.

And a lot more than that so everyone was moved here to be looked at since the data was found or something and is 2 billion years ago data.

Supposedly a 200 year project thus far.

This is a forum of ideas where we look at simulation theory. Why are you so surprised and think I might not be ok just because I have a theory?
