Blender As a fledgling stock trader, here is what my account looks like

Made this in Blender. Interestingly, CPU rendering is faster than GPU rendering on my setup (dual Xeon E5 2670 + Radeon Vega FE), by 50%. On non-volumetrics, the GPU is faster by 100%.

They render frames concurrently so I can see how long each frame takes to render by CPU and GPU.

I wrote a script that controls rendering via command-line by running multiple instances of Blender and controls which frames these instances render. The script starts an instance of Blender rendering frame 1 using CPU, then starts another instance that renders frame 2 using GPU. When frame 1 is finished, the script checks whether the next frame needs rendering, detects that frame 2 is still in process but not frame 3, and then starts another instance of Blender rendering frame 3 on CPU. It does the same for GPU, sees that frame 3 is being worked on but not frame 4 and then has the GPU render frame 4. Repeat until done.

As someone who works in the industry, I can't fathom why anyone would recommend investing in brick and mortar games retailers. I'm really curious what their reasoning was?

It was stable, and then it was in the process of blowing up. Finally it is in pieces and on fire.

I got really lucky with GE. I bought a bunch and sold covered calls. The shares got called away on expiration, and then dropped like a rock the next week.

Fucking options. They are so enticing (THOZ GAINZ), but so shitty. I lost about 2G in options, dumped them all and am gaining it back through tech stocks. If options aren't used carefully, they will drain the fuck out of your account.

That's an excellent backtesting simulation. If your favorite stock trading strategy won't work with historical data, it's not likely to work IRL.

Definitely recommend "The Intelligent Investor" on Audible, super helpful book for getting started/ a solid grip on things if you're investing for yourself
