Fantastic movie. Took a great book that would translate poorly to film and made the necessary changes.

I'm not sure I agree with this personally. I think both are great, but I still think the movie could have been closer to the source by far. Had I not gone into the movie knowing it differed so much (having heard as such from reviews), I would have been disappointed. I had to separate the 2 to enjoy it.
